Recruiting: Georgia gets CB to flip from Gamecocks

Published: November 20, 2012

ATHENS - Georgia needs secondary help for next year and beyond, and more of it is on the way as of Tuesday.

Brendan Langley, a cornerback who had been committed to South Carolina, flipped to Georgia, according to various recruiting sites. Langley is rated a four-star recruit by the 247sports composite, which averages out the star ratings of major recruiting sites.

Langley becomes the 28th overall commitment for Georgia, and the eighth defensive back.

Georgia also has commitments from cornerback Shaq Wiggins, Reggie Wilkerson, J.J. Green, and safeties Tray Matthews, Shaquille Fluker, Paris Bostick and Quincy Mauger.

The Bulldogs believe they can sign up to 34 players based on the SEC signing limits. The limit is 25 per year, but early enrollees can back-count. Therefore Georgia can back-count three of this year's 19 signees to 2011, leaving room for nine early enrollments this year who would count to 2012.
