G.W. Carver High School principal Chris Lindsey suffered minor cuts Tuesday when an unidentified juvenile began to fight with Lindsey as the principal and others tried to keep him from entering the school, according to police reports.

The juvenile, who was arrested by Columbus Police, was described in the report only as a black male. He was not a Carver student and no age was given.

About 10:45 Tuesday morning, the suspect approached the school carrying a small landscaping rock, according to police. Lindsey approached the boy, who threatened to go into the school "and kill another student," police said. As Lindsey and other staff members tried to keep the boy outside, he began to fight them.

Lindsey suffered an abrasion and small cut on his right cheek.
