Nov. 28-30: Free Columbus shows featuring trumpet standout Clay Jenkins

Take some time for yourself this holiday season and relax with some jazz music. Here are some upcoming free concerts in Columbus, GA. Columbus State University Jazz Combos perform a joint concert with CSU Contemporary Music Ensemble on Wednesday, Nov 28 at 7:30 p.m. at RiverCenter Legacy Hall.

The CSU Jazz Band welcomes special guest artist Clay Jenkins, a jazz trumpet virtuoso from New York, for a show Thursday, Nov. 29 at 7:30 p.m. at RiverCenter's Legacy Hall.

Jenkins hosts an open-to-the-public master class on Friday, Nov. 30 at 11 a.m. at RiverCenter's Studio Theatre

Jenkins -- accompanied by Tyrone Jackson on piano, Paul Vaillancourt on drums, and Alex Pershounin on bass -- performs Friday Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. for the Free Friday Jazz at the Loft event at the hot spot on Broadway.
