Columbus police arrested two alleged burglars after they fled the scene Tuesday.

According to a police report, officer Michael Ledford was dispatched to 2813 Bamboo St. in reference to several individuals burglarizing the residence and fleeing the scene when the owner arrived.

Joseph Pritchett, 22, of Gould Street and Sieclinda Brooks, 19, listed as homeless, were arrested on charges of first-degree burglary. It's unclear how they were apprehended.

The suspects forced open the back door and broke one window to enter the residence, the report says, causing about $200 in damage. A $400 stove and a $160 ceiling fan were taken, the report says.

Pritchett is being held on a $5,000 bond in the Muscogee County Jail. He has a 9 a.m. hearing in Columbus Recorder's Court today. No further information is available about Brooks.
