Columbus police nab wanted person

Columbus police nabbed a wanted person Tuesday. Michael Franklin Lewis, 41, of North Lumpkin Road, was arrested at ABC Metal Recycling, 1750 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., after officers Robert Hughes, Tad Braun, K.J. Rives and Adam Carse were dispatched. Lewis is charged with fourth-degree forgery, theft by taking, possession of a drug-related object and violation of parole. He is being held in the Muscogee County Jail on bonds totaling $3,250. He has a 9 a.m. hearing in Columbus Recorder's Court today.
