RiverCenter for the Performing Arts' Grand Lobby is definitely decked out for the holidays. RiverCenter is at 900 Broadway.

Besides its own Christmas tree in the center of the lobby, there are 15 specially-decorated trees in the this year's River City Festival of Trees.

Already judged, the winning trees are "Redneck Christmas," by Warm Springs' Bulloch House, Most Creative; "Angels We Have Heard on High," by the Columbus Council of Garden Clubs, Most Beautiful and "Georgia Tech Is 'A Buzz' with the Season," by Cary and Jennifer McCoy, Judges' Choice.

RiverCenter's lobby is open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. today through Saturday.

Tonight, there will be a ballroom dancing demonstration between 6-8 p.m. There will be a cash bar and snacks for sale.

Saturday is Family Day from 1-6 p.m. when local choirs will perform, children can get their faces painted and do some decorative crafts. There will also be pony rides and a petting zoo outside.

Eight of the trees are available through a silent auction. All trees' opening minimum bids are $250 and go up in $10 increments. The other seven trees are available through the raffle. One raffle ticket is $10 or three tickets for $25.

The Festival of Trees is a fundraiser for the Keep Columbus Beautiful Commssion.
