Color Me Rad 5K coming to Columbus in March

A Color Me Rad 5K is coming to Columbus in March. Uptown Columbus will present the race. Haven’t heard of it? "Basically you get your whitest, cleanest shirt, tank-top, wife beater or just a thick patch of bleached chest hair and run until you get coated in color so thick, Tide with Bleach will be calling you to star in their next commercial," according to the event’s official website.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is the real deal. Races happen on various dates nationwide. You can find Color Me Rad races in places like Miami, San Diego and New Orleans.

And now, Columbus. This is big news for the local running community, as these races generally attract thousands of people.

The Columbus race is March 23, 2013. It will take place at Woodruff Park downtown. Added bonus: It will benefit Children's Miracle Network.

Registration is open now and you can register here. I recommend registering ASAP, since prices increase as the race approaches. Right now, you'll pay $30, as opposed to $50 in March.
