Garnett V. McLawhorn was arrested Thursday on two counts of aggravated assault and two counts of cruelty to children in the third degree.

He also is charged with criminal damage to property in the second degree.

McLawhorn is being held without bond in the Muscogee County Jail. His preliminary hearing is at 8 a.m. today in Columbus Recorder's Court.
