- My top 10 is unchanged, even after the SEC championship. Here's why: Georgia, in my mind, did nothing to deserve dropping behind a bunch of teams that were idle. You shouldn't be penalized for making your conference championship game and playing a tight game with the No. 2 team. Yes, Florida has the nation's best resume'. But Georgia beat Florida. The head-to-head gives the Bulldogs the edge, and frankly I agree with Nick Saban that the Bulldogs should be in the BCS. But I don't think it will happen. (The AP poll is not part of the BCS formula.)

- I was actually impressed enough with Georgia that I was tempted to vault the Bulldogs ahead of Ohio State. But I couldn't put an unbeaten team being behind a two-loss team.

- Not much change in the rest of the ballot either. I'm tempted to shove Nebraska out of the top 25 after giving up 70 points to Wisconsin. But the Cornhuskers are still 10-3, and the 10 wins count for something. Plus, no one else is really deserving of replacing them. (Not even five-loss Wisconsin, the new Big Ten champion.)
