ATHENS -- Georgia announced on Sunday that it has accepted an invitation to play in the Capital One Bowl against Nebraska.
Kickoff for the game is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Jan. 1, and the game will be televised by ABC.
The Bulldogs will be make their 48th bowl appearance. Georgia is 26-18-3 in those games. The Bulldogs are 3-1-1 in Capital One Bowl appearances.
Nebraska and Georgia have played once previously during bowl season with Nebraska winning 45-6 in the 1969 Sun Bowl.
