Man shot in hip during Hunter Road robbery

A Midland man was shot in the left thigh and robbed Thursday at Hunter Haven Apartments, Columbus police said.

The victim, 35, was taken to The Medical Center after the 11:55 a.m. shooting at 5600 Hunter Road, near Building 15. He was in good condition.

In a report, police said they were call to the apartment complex to check on shots fired when other officers were sent to the nearby Lucky Food Mart where the victim was found. A gunman took an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim and fled.

The robber was described as black, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, with flame tattoos around his neck and missing a front left tooth. He was wearing a black shirt, pants, hat and shoes.
