Dec. 8: Bartender Appreciation Day

ssorich@ledger-enquirer.comDecember 7, 2012

Bring some extra tip money to your favorite hot spot tonight. Dec. 8 is Bartender Appreciation Day, according to the folks at Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum.

Don’t know how to celebrate? Well, you can start by saying ‘please’ and ‘thank you.’ After all, not everybody knows your ‘usual’ is a dirty martini, straight up with olives.

If that's not enough, Sailor Jerry offers a few more celebratory options, including this wise tip: "Last call means last call. Do not ask a bartender for one more drink when lights are on and they're counting money."

Very wise.

Weigh in: Which local hot spot has the best bartenders?
