America's Health Rankings 2012: How did Alabama and Georgia fare?

Published: December 11, 2012

Well, I suppose things could be worse. In United Health Foundation's 2012 America's Health Rankings, Georgia ranked No. 36 overall. Alabama ranked No. 45 overall.

Outsiders might roll their eyes, but that's an improvement for both states. Alabama ranked No. 48 in 2011, while Georgia ranked No. 38 last year.

Vermont topped the list of healthiest states, while Mississippi and Louisiana tied for No. 49 as the least healthy states.

Discussion time: Do you think your weight would be different if you lived somewhere else?
