A three-car crash this morning fatally injured a 77-year-old man in LaGrange, Ga., police there reported.

The accident reported at 7:39 a.m. at Roanoke Road and Vernon Road led to the death of Dennis Rosendahl and left his front-seat passenger Hilda Rosendahl hospitalized at The Medical Center in Columbus. Sustaining less serious injuries were 30-year-old Dawn Williams of Columbus and 35-year-old Mitzi Dirks of LaGrange, investigators said.

Police said Dennis Rosendahl, who lived on South Pine Cove Drive in LaGrange, lost control of his 2011 Ford Escape before it collided first with Williams' 2001 Toyota Camry and then hit Dirks' 2003 Chevrolet Trail Blazer, which Rosendahl's Ford rolled atop. Rosendahl later was pronounced dead at the West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange, officers said.

Williams, who lives on Columbus' Farr Road, and Dirks, of LaGrange's Hudson Road, were treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital, police said.
