2 men charged for occupying vacant mobile home

December 14, 2012

Two Columbus men were arrested Wednesday after police found them living in a vacant mobile home on Crystal Drive.

Andrew Kelly, 18, and Michael Bieber, 17, were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and six counts of possession of drug related objects. Both are held in the Muscogee County Jail.

Police were called to 623 Crystal Drive to check on suspicious people entering a vacant mobile home. Officers found an open door to the home and discovered one suspect leaving a back bedroom. A second was found hiding in a closet near a bedroom. Inside the home, police also found six pipes with a leafy substance inside and six bags of suspected marijuana. The substance has been sent to the crime lab for testing.

After a hearing Thursday, the charges were bound over to Muscogee Superior Court.
