Experience: East Allen County Schools superintendent, New Haven, Ind., 2009-present; South Bend Community School Corp., South Bend, Ind., (high school principal two years, assistant superintendent for school management two years, assistant superintendent for human resources six years, intermediate school principal one year), 1998-2009; Triton Central High School principal, Fairland, Ind., 1995-98; Guion Creek Middle School principal, Indianapolis, Ind., 1994-95; New Prairie Junior High School principal, New Carlisle, Ind., 1992-94; various other positions, including English teacher, athletic director and assistant principal at schools in Arizona and Indiana, 1985-92.

Education: Doctorate in education, Indiana University at Bloomington; master's degree in secondary education, Indiana University at South Bend; bachelor's degree in secondary education, Arizona State University.
