A 64-year-old Columbus man was beaten and robbed of a $25 electric blanket Thursday in his Garden Drive apartment , police said.

The victim was in good condition at The Medical Center after the 12:15 p.m. attack at 2315 Garden Drive. He was kicked in the face, his mouth was bloodied and left eye was swollen.

The man told police the attack occurred inside the apartment. Police said the attack remains under investigation.
