LaGrange police crack weekend Smile Mart robbery case

Investigators in LaGrange, Ga., have arrested two men in the weekend armed robbery of the Smile Mart on South Greenwood Street.

Witnesses told police two men with a firearm demanded money from a store clerk who gave them cash at 7:22 p.m. Sunday. Officers summoned to the 426 S. Greenwood St. store arrested Christopher Patterson of South Alford Street and charged him with armed robbery, aggravated assault and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, police said.

On Christmas Eve, investigators arrested Cordeko Brooks of Juniper Street and charged him in the robbery, authorities said.

Detectives ask that anyone with information on the case call them at 706-883-2633 or call Crime Stoppers at 706-812-1000.
