Opelika, Ala., police: Thief walks off with $4,500 watch

Police in Opelika, Ala., today reported a thief last week stole a Swiss watch worth $4,500 from a display case at Angel's Antiques on Columbus Parkway.

The theft happened between 12:28 and 1:16 p.m. Thursday at the 900 Columbus Parkway business, authorities said. The merchant said the loot was a Ulysse Nardin watch.

The thief was described as a black man, 6 feet tall, weighing 235 pounds and wearing khaki pants and a white long-sleeve shirt with red stripes.
