Columbus police arrested an 18-year-old woman Thursday for allegedly threatening to kill a 23-year-old man with scissors to his neck.

Mercedes Thirkield of Baker Plaza Drive is charged with aggravated assault in the family violence case, according to the police report.

Police were dispatched at 2:25 p.m. to the intersection of Bowie Avenue and Conner Road in reference to a domestic dispute.

The case remains under investigation.
