A warrant for the charge of murder has been issued for Dequandrea Artavis Truitt of Columbus.

There were two shootings early Tuesday morning at Club Majestic on Cusseta Road.

Charles Foster Jr., 24, was killed in a shooting inside the club and five others were wounded.

Police believe Truitt shot a teen outside the club, shooting him in the back of the head and upper back.

At first, it was believed the two shootings were not connected. Lt. Lynn Joiner said this evening that further investigation has connected the two.

The new information was found by further witness interviews and some physical evidence.

The substance of the interviews and the physical evidence cannot be released at this time, Joiner said.

However, police are now saying it is believed there were two shooters inside and Truitt is believed to have one of them.

More evidence will be needed to determine if Truitt fired the gun that killed Foster.

The Phenix City Police Department also has a warrant out for Truitt's arrest for criminal attempt at murder.

Joiner said Truitt is considered extremely dangerous and will be armed.

Anyone with information on these cases is asked to call (706)653-3400.

Truitt is a black male, 5-foot-5, 165 pounds, He has a slight scar below his right right on the cheekbone.
