A witness flagged down a police officer early Sunday to report a naked man was shouting and screaming at a gas station on Fort Benning Road, the officer reported.

Cpl. Stefan Shelling was on patrol at Farr Road and Old Cusseta Road at 12:35 a.m. when another motorist waved him down.

"The motorist advised that she observed a nude male screaming and shouting at the Pure gas station off of Fort Benning Road," Shelling wrote.

What happened next is unclear, but in a separate report of interference with government property, Shelling wrote that the suspect identified as 24-year-old James Morris damaged the interior or a 2009 Ford Crown Victoria police cruiser.

Besides interfering with city property, Morris was charged with public indecency and obstructing police, Shelling reported.

The incident happened at 1474 Fort Benning Road, the officer wrote.
