Columbus police: Man whacked in nose with 2-by-4 at 13th Avenue and 48th Street

A Columbus man whacked with a piece of lumber was treated at The Medical Center for a swollen, bleeding nose Sunday evening, according to Columbus police.

The 32-year-old 42nd Street resident was assaulted with a wooden 2-by-4 about 6 p.m. at 13th Avenue and 48th Street, reported Officer Eric Page, who wrote that he was called about 6:30 p.m. to 4717 13th Ave. to investigate the incident, which occurred between 6 and 6:16 p.m.

Page's report listed no suspect description or account of how the attack happened.
