Woman, 39, robbed of guns and jewelry on 38th St.

A Fort Mitchell, Ala., woman was robbed at gunpoint early Monday on 38th Street, Columbus police said.

The woman, 39, wasn't injured in the 1:55 a.m. robbery at 1020 38th St.

In a report to police, the victim said someone forced open the door and threatened her with a pistol. Once inside, the gunman took items valued at nearly $6,000. Items included $4,300 in jewelry, $800 worth of guns and other items.

The robbery remains under investigation, police said.
