Jan. 12: Get healthy, energized at the Mind, Body and Spirit Retreat for Women

The 10th annual Mind, Body and Spirit Retreat for Women, presented by Columbus Regional Healthcare System and the Cunningham Center at CSU, is 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at the Cunningham Center. This year’s theme is “Stay Green… Keep Growing.” The $40 registration fee includes a continental breakfast, several individual workshops, lunch and a tote bag. Individual workshops will include “Nourish with Healthy Recipes,” Green: The Color of Investment Opportunity,” “Chakras: Your Mind-Body-Energy System,” “Take Flight by Starting a Small Business.” “Examine Our Community’s Roots and History of Columbus,” and “Create More Economical and Safe Household Cleaning Products.”

David Benefield from Ann’s Porch will give a group presentation over the lunch hour on flower arranging. The featured speaker is Barbara McBride-Smith, nationally-acclaimed storyteller. She will conduct both the morning and afternoon group sessions and lead an individual workshop as well on storytelling.
