A Columbus man accused of firing a shot and robbing another man at the Carousel Lounge was charged early Tuesday with aggravated assault. Daniel Peter Lopes, 34, also faces charges of pointing a pistol at another and discharging a firearm in the city limits in connection with the armed robbery of a 25-year-old man at the 3003 Victory Drive lounge. Lopes is held in the Muscogee County Jail for a hearing today in Recorder's Court.

The victim was not injured in the holdup but sustained scratches on his hands and knees, police said.
