Oscar nominations 2013: Where to watch Oscar-nominated films in Columbus

Starting Friday, Jan. 18, See Jennifer Lawrence's Golden Globe winning performance in "Silver Linings Playbook" at Carmike 15, Hollywood Ritz 13 and Fort Benning's Wynnsong 10. The film is also nominated for a best picture Oscar. The Ritz 13 also shows "The Impossible," for which Naomi Watts received a best actress Oscar nod. At Peachtree 8, film fans can see best actor contender Denzel Washington in "Flight" and best supporting actress hopeful Helen Hunt in "The Sessions."

Other Oscar best picture hopefuls -- “Lincoln,” “Les Miserables,” "DJango Unchained," “Argo,” “Zero Dark Thirty” -- continue screening this weekend at local theaters. Rent “Beasts of the Southern Wild,” now available on DVD. You'll have to drive to Macon to see "Life of Pi" this weekend. If you're wanting to Austria's "Amour," you'll need to wait until Feb. 1 and drive to Atlanta.

Oscar nominated live action and animated short films will also be shown at Atlanta's Midtown Art Cinema, beginning Feb. 1.

• Where to see BEST PICTURE nominees:

"Silver Linings Playbook:" Starting Jan. 18, screens at Carmike 15, Hollywood Ritz 13 and Fort Benning’s Wynnsong 10. DVD will be released in February. Date unconfirmed but thought to be Feb. 12.

“Lincoln,” which received 12 Oscar nods — including best picture, director, actor, supporting actor and supporting actress, screens at Carmike 15 and Fort Benning’s Wynnsong 10.

“Les Miserables” is at Carmike 15 and Hollywood Ritz 13.

“DJango Unchained” screens at Carmike 15, Hollywood Ritz 13 and Fort Benning’s Wynnsong 10.

“Argo” screens at Hollywood Ritz 13 and Fort Benning’s Wynnsong 10.

“Zero Dark Thirty” is at Carmike 15, Hollywood Ritz 13 and Wynnsong 10.
