An infant living on the 6000 block of Browning Drive suffered a large cut to the face after a member of the household flipped a glass table top on top of the child Sunday, according to a Columbus Police report.

Police arrived at the residence at about 8 p.m. after someone reported an infant injured. A woman in the house told police that her father, 38-year-old Cornelious Merriweather, was upset and flipped a glass slab off the table and onto a 6-month-old baby. The glass caused a long cut down the right side of the baby's face.

Merriweather was arrested and charged with reckless conduct. He was given $1,500 bond, according to jail records. No further details were available in the report.
