A resident of an apartment on the 400 block of 17th Avenue was stabbed with scissors Thursday following a fight, according to a Columbus Police Department report.

The resident told police that earlier in the evening she was watching T.V. when Stephanie Bolds, 41, knocked on her door and asked where a man named Chris was. The woman told Bolds she didn't know Chris and she wanted Bolds to go away. After this, Bolds started hitting her. The fight was broken up not long after it started and each woman went back to their apartments.

At about 9:45 p.m., Bolds started knocking on the woman's door again. When she answered the door, Bolds stabbed her in the right forearm, leaving a puncture wound.

A nearby neighbor witnessed the event and backed up the resident's statement.

When police questioned Bolds, she said the other residents were trying to rewire and burglarize her apartment.

Bolds was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. She was taken to Muscogee County Jail.
