A 16-year-old juvenile was arrested for shoplifting Tuesday afternoon at the Buena Vista Road Walmart after eating the store's potato chips without purchase and attempting to steal condoms, according to a Columbus Police Department report.

Police responded to the Walmart location at about 3:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a shoplifting. A store employee told police she saw the juvenile eat one package of Ruffles Cheddar & Sour Cream and then conceal a package of Trojan ribbed condoms in his pockets.

The condoms were recovered. The juvenile was charged with misdemeanor shoplifting and released to his sister.
