LaGrange man kicked and punched during robbery, police search for suspects

Police are looking for two robbers who kicked and punched a man near West Point Street on Monday in LaGrange, according to a LaGrange Police Department press release.

The victim reported that at about 9:15 p.m. on Monday he was leaving the Wood Glenn Apartment complex when a man grabbed him from behind. Another suspect began punching the victim in the face before throwing him to the ground. The suspects continued to kick and punch him, and then took his wallet.

The victim only had minor injuries and refused medical treatment.

The suspects were last seen running away towards Barry Avenue. Both were described as black men in their mid-to-early 20s. Both were approximately 6-feet tall of a medium build, and were wearing black jeans and black boots. One was wearing a Carhatt-type black jacket. The other was wearing the same type of jacket, but in brown.
