Beitashour, Buddle leave U.S. camp because of injury

Published: January 23, 2013

San Jose Earthquakes defender Steven Beitashour and Colorado Rapids forward Edson Buddle have both left the United States national team camp with injury issues.

The team is currently preparing for its upcoming friendly with Canada on Jan. 29 in Houston, and no replacements for Beitashour or Buddle will be added to the roster.

Beitashour had surgery to repair a sports hernia at the end of the 2012 MLS season and continues to struggle with the problem, while Buddle is battling a right knee injury, which is similar to the issue he had with the knee in June.
