Woman charged with possession of Schedule II, IV drugs after shoplifting at Walgreens

A woman was charged with possession of Schedule II and Schedule IV drugs Wednesday after she was detained for a shoplifting at Walgreens, according to a Columbus Police Department report.

Police arrived at the Walgreens on the 5700 block of Veterans Parkway at about 4 p.m. and met with witnesses who named Abby Earnest, 30, as the suspect involved in a shoplifting. During a search prior to arrest, police found a 30 milligram pill of Oxycodone in Earnest's left front pocket. They also found two Clonazepam pills in a bottle marked Alprazolam, according to the report.

Earnest was charged and was taken to Muscogee County Jail.
