Police arrested two men for possession of methamphetamine and various pharmaceutical drugs Sunday near the intersection of River Road and 38th Street, according to an Columbus Police Department report.

Steven Beasley, 50, and Kenneth Carter, 49, were charged with possession of Schedule II drugs after police discovered a gram of the meth, two hydromorphone pills, eight methocarbarmol and six Xanax in their possession.

Beasley and Carter were taken to Muscogee County Jail.
