Columbus police are investigating the fourth homicide of this year after a 20-year-old man was found shot at Wilson Apartments late Monday.

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan identified the man as Kristan Blake Dozier who lived at a First Avenue address. He was taken to The Medical Center after the 8:41 p.m. shooting in the street at 3016 Sixth Ave.

Bryan said Dozier was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound at the hospital at 10 p.m. The coroner wouldn't specify how many times the victim was shot but said an autopsy is planned today at the crime lab in Atlanta.

The shooting remains under investigation.

Bryan said Dozier was at Wilson Apartments visiting some friends.
