Florida's Yeguete headed for surgery, aims to return this season

Published: February 7, 2013

Florida Gators forward Will Yeguete is slated to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Friday.

It's the second straight year the Gators will have to play without Yeguete, but this time around, he is expected to return for the postseason.

He will likely be sidelined 4-to-6 weeks following the procedure, whereas last year he was lost for the remainder of the season after breaking his left foot against Auburn on Feb. 21.

Yeguete is the team's second-leading rebounder this season at 6.3 per game. He has averaged 6.0 points while starting 10 of the Gators' 21 contests.
