A Columbus police officer was shot in the head at a shooting range on Cusseta Road Thursday at about 8 a.m., according to a police report.

Officer Andrew Redmond, 25, received a gunshot wound to the head while at a shooting range on Cusseta Road. Redmond was taken to The Medical Center shortly after the incident and is not seriously injured.
