Happy Valentine's Day: Send us your Valentine's Day photos

Sometimes, it works.

Amid all the talk of jealousy, bitterness and betrayal, it's easy to believe healthy relationships don't exist. But occasionally, we find stories that restore our faith in warm, fuzzy feelings.

Photos often reflect those feelings.

Consider the photo that accompanies this article. I received it in an email from Covenant Woods, the Columbus retirement community where Allan and Jean Lewis live. They're the married couple shown in the picture.

They've been married 67 years. Allan was in the Army, then the Coast Guard, serving as a combat medic during World War II. They met at church, dated three years and have five children.

Maybe you have a story to share, too.

Take a moment and send your best Valentine's Day photo to ssorich@ledger-enquirer.com. We want to showcase everything from marriages to friendships. And yes, it's totally OK if your pet is your Valentine.

We'll post our favorite photos in an online gallery.

Ledger-Enquirer is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
