Improper driving leads to seizure of almost $400 worth of drugs

A woman was arrested and charged with possession of Schedule II and Schedule IV drugs Wednesday morning after she was stopped for failing to maintain her lane, according to a Columbus Police Department report.

Brittany Gibson, 23, was stopped near the Golden Donuts on Manchester Expressway at about 3 a.m. after an officer spotted her crossing the center line just before River Road. When the officer searched Gibson's vehicle, he found five and a half Xanax pills, one Oxycodone pill, one Adderall pill, eight Clonazepam pills and a gram of marijuana.

The estimated value of the pills was $387.50. The marijuana was valued at $10.

Gibson was charged with possession of Schedule II and IV drugs, possession of marijuana and failure to maintain lane. She was taken to Muscogee County Jail.
