An adult and child were transported to The Medical Center this morning after a 7:30 a.m. wreck that left a car overturned, Columbus Police officials say.

Cpl. Jennifer Horton said that two vehicles were traveling southbound near the Airport Thruway exit when one vehicle hit a tire and rolled over. Another vehicle was side-swiped during the incident.

An adult and child from the turned over vehicle were transported for non-life-threatening injuries. The occupants of the side-swiped vehicle were able to leave the scene. Names, ages and the types of cars involved in the accident are not yet being released.

At 9:15, traffic in both the I-185 southbound and northbound lanes was flowing freely at Airport Thurway. Earlier in the morning, traffic in the southbound lane was backed.

We will have additional details as they become available.
