A 20-year-old Columbus man was taken to The Medical Center Friday after he was shot in the right foot at Warren Williams Apartments, police said.

The victim was treated at the hospital after the 4:40 p.m. shooting and later released.

Police were called to the hospital after the man arrived with a gunshot wound. Police said the shooting occurred in the street and the injury was inflicted with a pistol.

Police had no description of a suspect as the investigation continues.
