Adrien Broner retained his WBC lightweight title with a TKO of Gavin Rees in the fifth round on Saturday.
In the fifth round, Broner (26-0, 22 KO) caught Rees (37-2-1, 18 KO) with a strong left to the body, which caused Rees to take a knee.
Another series of body and head shots forced Rees into the corner and his trainer waived the white towel with the referee stopping the fight at 2 minutes, 59 seconds.
