Police find more than $300 worth of marijuana while searching impounded car

Police added felony possession of marijuana charges to a man arrested on separate charges Friday, Feb. 15 after searching his impounded car, according to a Columbus Police Department report.

After arresting Irven Williams, 23, on unnamed charges, police obtained permission to search his impounded car. Detectives found a plastic bag containing about 31 grams of marijuana in the seat pocket behind the front passenger seat. Williams claimed the marijuana shortly after.

The marijuana was valued at $310. Williams had charges of marijuana possession added to his record.
