The Chattahoochee Valley Libraries staff will hold a reception Wednesday for retiring director Claudya Muller.

The event will be 2-4 p.m. in the Synovus/CB&T Meeting Room at the Columbus Public Library, 3000 Macon Road.

The Muscogee County Friends of Libraries is funding the reception to honor Muller and to celebrate her more than 11 years of service to the library system.

Muller's last day in the job will be Thursday. While a search committee tries to hire Muller's successor, Wanda Edwards will be interim director. Edwards is head of the popular materials and circulation departments.
