Columbus police arrested a 30-year-old woman on an assault charge Friday in the stabbing of a woman on North Lumpkin Road.
The victim, 25, sustained stab wounds to her face and back from scissors, police said. She was treated at The Medical Center after the 8 p.m. assault.
Mathesa Searcy, 30, was charged with one count of aggravated assault and held in the Muscogee County Jail on $10,000 bond.
Police said the women were inside an apartment at Victory Crossing Apartments on North Lumpkin Road when the dispute occurred.
