Update (Monday, 1:53 p.m.):

A Columbus woman faced no bond and two counts of aggravated assault during a 9 a.m. Recorder's Court hearing after allegedly chasing two women with a machete Saturday night.

According to the police report, Theresa Cohen of Lockwood Court got into an argument with the two women 11 p.m. Saturday outside on Whisper Drive. She then chased them with a machete she had concealed in a jacket. One of the women being chased suffered a cut on her left hand near the thumb. She was treated by a medic.

Cohen did not resist arrest.

During a 9 a.m. court hearing Monday, witnesses told Judge Michael Cielinski that Cohen had approached two women at a party held on Whisper Drive. She began arguing with one of the women about a rape allegation that had been levied against her brother prior to the incident.

The witnesses told the court that they had no prior contact with Cohen.

Bond was not set for Cohen. Her case has been forward to Superior Court.
