Published: February 26, 2013

A man was arrested for possession of oxycodone pills Sunday after an officer found him passed out on 11th Avenue, according to a Columbus Police Department report.

Police found Jeffery Sopson, 28, passed out on the 3400 block of 11th Avenue at about 12:45 p.m. When the officer roused him, Sopson was unable to provide any information because of his semi-conscious state. When the officer searched him to attempt to locate information, he found a white pill in his jacket pocket. He also found four oxycodone pills in a clear plastic bag in his right shoe.

Sopson was transported to The Medical Center for treatment. The officer wrote he would be turned over to the jail when treatment was over.
