A woman was arrested and charged with marijuana possession after allegedly telling police that she smoked all of the substance, according to a Columbus Police Department report.

Police stopped Shankenia Grant, 22, near Cusseta Road and 31st Avenue at about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday after an officer saw her run a stop sign. When the officer approached the vehicle, he reported he smelled marijuana strongly coming from the car.

After the officer asked Grant if she had any of the substance in her vehicle, she allegedly told him that she had just smoked it all.

While searching the vehicle, officers found a plastic bag containing 1.1 grams of marijuana inside Grant's purse, which was located inside the center console.

Grant was charged with possession of marijuana and stop sign violation. She was transported to Muscogee County Jail.
