Nadal downs Ferrer in Acapulco final

Second-seeded Rafael Nadal downed top-seeded David Ferrer in an all-Spaniard affair in final at the $1.213 million Mexican Open tennis event.

Nadal breezed past Ferrer 6-0, 6-2 on the red clay at the Fairmont Acapulco Princess.

The former world No. 1 Nadal captured the Mexican Open in 2005 and titled in Sao Paulo two weeks ago.

Nadal moved to 17-4 in his lifetime against Ferrer.

Nadal pocketed $291,800 with the win.
