GAME NOTES: The Southern Miss Golden Eagles will play host to the East Carolina Pirates in a Conference-USA clash at the Reed Green Coliseum on Saturday night.
The Pirates most recently defeated SMU, 72-69. It was the second consecutive win and third in the last four games for East Carolina. The Pirates are now 2-0 in their current three-game road swing and look to close it out undefeated before heading home to host Tulane and Marshall to end the regular season. ECU has scored 70+ points in each of its last six games.
The Golden Eagles are coming off an 89-73 loss at 19th-ranked Memphis. The loss ended a three-game win streak for Southern Miss which will head to Marshall next before closing out its regular season action by hosting UCF next Saturday. After starting off conference play 7-0, the Golden Eagles have gone just 3-3 in their last six outings.
Southern Miss leads the all-time series 14-7 between these squads and has won that last nine straight meetings. The last two games have been decided in overtime with Southern Miss coming out on top, most recently with an 86-82 win just a couple weeks ago in Greenville.

While the squad hit on 16-of-18 attempts from the charity stripe, it shot a poor 37.9 percent from the field against Memphis, which remains undefeated in conference play.
